Through seam design is a blast designs with holes drilled through different seams.
Using BLASTMAPTM the seams can be can be imported. Each seam is linked to a charging rule, which needs to be set up before hand.
The charging rules can be create / edited / deleted in the database designer window.
Once all the seams are import to a design with holes, the charging decks can be calculated and created using the charging rules.
This action will create decks automatically with charge in between the seams and stemming that will be at the same level as the seams. All depending on your rule.
Step overview
Create a blast design by importing your holes and / or block outline points. Because the seams will be imported coordinates, the holes must match the coordinates.
Create your charging rules in the database. This will be a once off operation if you intent to reuse them.
Go to the through seam top menu and import your seams.
Importing the seams will require a top / bottom seam to be imported separately.
DXF files can be used to import the seams, the data must be split into separate files for TOP and BOTTOM of seam points.
A single charge rule can be linked to a top and bottom seam.
4. Press the "Calculate" button to create the decks inside the hole at the right level.
At anytime you can switch your view to 3D to see the seams that you imported and the holes with the decks.
The "Charging Instruction Side View" report will display the charging instruction in a visual representation with the seam information.
